Irena M. Morris is a native of Zagreb, Croatia, born in 1980. She grew up in Zagreb (the capital of Croatia) as a younger of 2 children.
Her childhood was interrupted by the war in Croatia which lasted half way through her teens.
Before moving to USA in 2000 Irena spent a year studying vocal performance.
After moving to US she took an unplanned turn and switched to visual arts following an elective in drawing.
She completed her BA in Painting and turned her attention to Virtual Worlds where she used to express herself with much less need for studio space.

Eshi Otawara is a virtual incarnation of Irena M. Morris.
Eshi Otawara uses authentic Second Life Tools to create immersive virtual spaces, ranging from abstraction to avatar couture. She is known for her collaborative project such as the one-of-a-kind voice sensitive virtual instrument 'Parsec', thought out by Dizzy Banjo (Bob Thomas, London UK), coded by Chase Marellan (Nicholas Chase, US), One Hour Sim Project - a set of eleven daily installations using the area of 256 virtual square meters and 3800 primitive objects formed into art installations of which Flower Tower II was the most successful by drawing in a crowd of nearly 3000 people within 24 hours. She is also the builder of 'Rouge' Sim and the 50 meter diameter 'Death of the Phoenix' dress. Her virtual couture items are a synthesis of sculpture and the impossible to be worn in non-virtual life. She is most proud of the 'Fishook' dress which was auctioned to benefit American Cancer Society in July '08 and reached a bid of 1700 USD (460 000 L$) and thus became second most expensive item to ever be sold at a charity auction in Second Life. Her former couture brand 'Chambre du Chocolat' was replaced by her own name as the only signature to her work. In October 2009, Eshi Otawara decided to cease to represent herself and her artistry solely in virtual world medium and is happily currently employed as a Chocolatier at Amy's Gourmet Apples while taking commissioned art projects in her spare time.
